In the mobile gaming industry, MMORPGs doesn’t have many variations in terms of gameplay. Recurring themes range from fantasy to science fiction, where gamers take control of the protagonists from start to finish. And you have to explore the underworld to solve the mystery. Going into the adventure, you can join a team of players and communicate with them in the live chat as you explore the vast world of Toram Online. However, this doesn’t have a class system, unlike many other MMORPGs.

See Also: #9 AdventureQuest 3D Price: Free with In-App Purchases AdventureQuest 3D is a real-time MMO packed with a variety of creatures like dragons, warfiends, frogzards, and monsters that you need to beat with your friends. There you’ll meet different kinds of characters, go on marvelous adventures, and explore the vast narrative of the game.

Of what started out to be a web-based game only that received a wave of positive reviews, the creators of AdventureQuest at Artix Entertainment decided to bring it to mobile devices. Like the original version, AdventureQuest 3D has retained the multi-class system which allows you to unlock and switch between different playable classes, and new classes are added regularly.

It also has chat, emotes, and social networking within the app. #10 Aurcus Online Price: Free with In-App Purchases The non-targeting combat system has become very popular in the last couple of years, allowing players to go beyond just hit and kill and do more jump, dash, kick attacks, etc.

As part of one’s defense or offense. Aurcus Online is one of the few MMORPG that does best in smartphones when it comes to this new fighting style. In fact, it makes the game more exhilarating and exciting to play. Aurcus Online is set in Levaria, a land protected by the spirits. Hundreds of years free and peaceful, Levaria was disrupted by the rise of the Dark Force.

Nations were suppressed; towns were attacked; monsters were on the loose. Worst of all, the ancient beast has awoken the stronghold of death–the Dark Force. States now have to come together and begin the greatest mission in the game.

Aurcus Online is another Asobimo masterpiece. #11 Iruna Online Price: Free with In-App Purchases A game that was first released in Japan, Iruna Online took the world by storm after a warm reception in its home country, played by more than 2.5 million people. This 3D MMORPG can be enjoyed in both co-op and real-time communication with all its impressive graphics. The fantasy world of Iruna was created by 12 gods. After years of peace and order, conflicts separate them, leading to four factions: Hume, Diel, Cule, and Elf. Each group is fighting for its own in order to survive and retain legacy.

Amidst their battle for dominance, each faction has to face formidable monsters so they wouldn’t go extinct from the surface of the earth. However, this is not a game of strength alone; it’s also about looking cool. And with the available in-game items, you can do just that. There’s a huge map to explore. If you miss the way earlier MMORPGs work, Iruna Online is for you to take delight in. It strays away from the usual three to five classes and a pay to win gearing system.

Conclusion MMORPGs became a billion-dollar business since the mid-2000s and there are no signs of disappointment by far. Over the years, more and more players are enticed by this promising hybrid of genres.

We believe MMORPG alone will continue to grow down the road as game developers beef up the system and improve series installments. What do you think of the games in this list?

We hope you enjoyed this list. Are we missing something?

Best MMORPG Games To Play Dilawar’s Favorite: My personal favorite are World of Warcraft, DC Universe Online, and Neverwinter. World of Warcraft World of Warcraft is the supposed father of all MMORPGs and the genre itself, developed by Blizzard, it has garnered the most positive reviews for its amazing gameplay and an intriguing environment. The game allows you to choose your character, pick a class, and customize your character completely in different ways that you prefer. In order to gain experience and level up your character, you must complete quests. You can either take the quests solo (which is quite hard) or you can join a party and do a multiplayer quest run along with your friends.

You can also duke it out against other players in the PvP mode. World of Warcraft works on a subscription based payment model so in order to play you have to buy subscription cards or make the payment directly with your credit card to keep playing the game after the free trial period is over. Playing for up to level 20 is entirely free, but after that period you have to extend your subscription. (Free/Paid) 2. Path of Exile Path of Exile is everything you expected from a true sequel to the famous Diablo II. Diablo III definitely had a shaky start and didn’t do justice to Diablo II’s legacy. However, Path of Exile definitely gives off that Diablo II look and play similarly as well.

In this game, you start your journey in an unknown world and try to explore large areas including dangerous dungeons and monster-filled caves. You fight off hordes of monsters and other dark forces that are present in these areas and accumulate experience for killing monsters and completing quests. Make an appearance. These heroes and villains are in the game but they are not the main character. Since the DC Universe Online is an online RPG which means you are the real hero in the game. The core concept of the game is similar to other MMORPG games out there, but it includes your favorite DC characters. There are numerous character templates in the game to help you create and customize your very own superhero, if you don’t have the time to completely make one from scratch, the best thing is that it can also be a villain. The game has a fluid combat system where your heroes can engage in combat to gain experience and level up. Leveling up your hero gives you access to new abilities, powers, and skills which make the game more exciting and fun.

After completing the initial story mode, you can also jump into story-based raids, co-op quests, and Player vs Player battles. Neverwinter Neverwinter is a fairly new entrant to the MMORPG genre.

This amazing game is available for download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms. The game is loosely inspired by and based on Dungeons & Dragons’ rulebook. You can pick a custom character from any one of the multiple different classes, pick your preferred race, and assign your newly character action points to boost its skills and stats. The number of quests you complete is directly related to the growth of your character. (free) SEE ALSO: The Best MMORPGs You Can Play Get ready to choose any one of the above-mentioned games and forget about the real world entirely because these games are built to suck you in and keep you hooked for years to come. Ask any serious MMORPG player out there and they will tell you how they have spent years gathering loots and resources in their favorite games.

Also, feel free to mention your favorite MMORPGs in the comments below. Clearly, the author of this silly list has no clue what an MMORPG is Path of Exile? Obviously, knowing the subject matter of what you are writing about is not required on this site; nor is even basic research done. The author just copy/pasted the term he saw on more reputable sites, and I guarantee cannot even answer what MMORPG stands for. Of course, poor writing, lack of research, and pathetic subject knowledge is a common theme with gaming sites and so-called writers.

I suppose that is why I am venting (overreacting) a bit here because I am sick of the low effort, low expectations, and overall mediocrity of gaming articles and information. Path of Exile shouldn’t be on this list because it isn’t an MMO; it’s an RPG. It lacks the “massive multiplayer” element which is what defines an MMO. While there are thousands of players online, you can only see about a dozen at a time in cities and you can’t even interact with any of them. You can only interact with other players who are in your, up to 6-man, party and combat is restricted to instanced zones.

It is not open-world and all players are segregated. Path has the same structure as Diablo III and no one considers that an MMO, so there is no reason to consider Path one either. Some examples of true MMORPGs would be World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Black Desert Online and Guild Wars 2.
